How do I connect with my partner on loqd?

After creating your account, you can send an invitation to your partner via text message, email, or by sharing a unique code. Once they accept the invitation and create their account, you'll be automatically connected. For security reasons, a loqd account can only be connected to one partner at a time.

Can I transfer my data if I get a new phone?

Yes! All your loqd data is securely stored in the cloud. Simply download the app on your new device, sign in with your account credentials, and all your data (messages, memories, tasks, etc.) will be automatically restored. Your partner connection will remain intact as well.

How secure is my data on loqd?

We take security and privacy very seriously. All messages are secured with end-to-end encryption, meaning only you and your partner can read them. We use industry-standard encryption for all other data. Your personal information is never sold to third parties, and you can enable biometric authentication (fingerprint/face recognition) for additional security.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or through the app store where you made the purchase (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). If you cancel, you'll still have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

What happens to my data if we break up?

If you decide to disconnect from your partner in the app, you both retain access to your own data and shared content you've created together. You can choose to delete your account entirely, which will permanently remove all your personal data from our servers. We've designed the disconnection process to be respectful and give both partners control over their own data.

Can I use loqd on multiple devices?

Yes, you can use loqd on multiple devices simultaneously. Simply download the app and sign in with your account credentials on each device. Changes made on one device will sync across all your devices in real-time, keeping your relationship data consistent no matter where you access the app.

Step-by-step solutions to common issues

1 Connection Issues

If you're having trouble connecting with your partner on loqd:

  1. Verify both you and your partner have the latest version of the app installed
  2. Ensure both accounts are using valid email addresses
  3. Check that the invitation link or code hasn't expired (they're valid for 48 hours)
  4. Make sure your partner has not previously connected with another account
  5. Try sending a new invitation if the previous one has expired

If you've recently changed your email address, you may need to update it in your account settings before sending an invitation.

2 App Crashes or Performance Issues

If the app is crashing, freezing, or running slowly:

  1. Close the app completely and restart it
  2. Update to the latest version of the app
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check your internet connection
  5. Clear the app cache (Settings > Apps > loqd > Storage > Clear Cache)
  6. If problems persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (your data is safely stored in the cloud)

Make sure your device meets the minimum requirements: iOS 13+ for Apple devices or Android 8.0+ for Android devices.

3 Subscription and Billing Issues

If you're experiencing problems with your subscription:

  1. Verify your subscription status in the app (Profile > Subscription)
  2. Check that your payment method is valid and up to date
  3. For Apple devices, check your Apple ID subscription status
  4. For Android devices, check your Google Play Store subscription status
  5. If you've been charged but don't have premium features, try restoring your purchase (Profile > Subscription > Restore Purchase)

Family Sharing on iOS: If you're part of a Family Sharing group, only the family organizer can manage the subscription.

4 Notification Problems

If you're not receiving notifications from loqd:

  1. Check that notifications are enabled for loqd in your device settings
  2. Verify that Do Not Disturb mode is turned off
  3. Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for loqd (iOS)
  4. Check that battery optimization isn't restricting the app (Android)
  5. In the app, go to Settings > Notifications and ensure all notifications are turned on

Some Android manufacturers have additional battery-saving features that can restrict background activities. Check your device's specific settings.
